Geese & Ducks on the Lake

This is our beautiful little Lake

LAKE REDEVELOPMENT

Our advice was to pump out the lake

Remember this photo June 2009 our lovely little Lake covered in algae,

all the fish dead, no waterfowl as the Lake was slowly dying

We are delighted to say that after the pumping and the addition of

a huge amount of lime, the water has returned to our Lake.

The Algae has not all disappeared completely but we have greater

water movement, the PH Level is now what it should be.

We are replanting the margins and the new fish arrive in June.

We hope now to re-establish the abundant wildlife we once enjoyed.

Pond 2010 with Ducks

We have Ducks, Geese, Moorhen and Little Grebe now on the Lake,

we still need to develop the invertebrates and it will be interesting to see if we get

Damsel and Dragonfly once more laying eggs,

we are seeing new life already as the seasons unfold
