See you soon..............................ESME

Hi there Bloggers, time moves on and we are getting ever closer to the start of the new shooting season,

it gets so boring in the summer just waiting for things to get underway.

I have been keeping my hand in up the field by managing to save a duckling or two.

Yes there were a number of them sitting on the sloping bank of the lake, me and Uncle Zeb

were working the rough ground on top of the bank and that’s when it happened.

Several ducklings slipped and were falling towards the water, mother duck dived in,

luckily I shot down the bank and rescued a duckling before it fell into the water, well it might have drowned,

that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. The Boss did not look impressed when he saw me carrying the duckling,

but he did raise a smile when I handed it to him and it was not even shocked when it returned to the water,

it just swam away, the fact that it swam away did sort of weaken the reason for my rescue attempt though !

This is me just about to point one of three pheasants that were hiding in this patch of Rape

which had been left untouched after harvest.

But that was last year and it is just me dreaming again.

The Boss has been up to help with the release of the birds and there are once more sufficient for mum(Angie) & me.

He has seen the covers and they are all looking great, photos coming soon.

We have a new beaters bus this year, all mod con’s and plush bench seating, no not for the dogs, for the owners !

Whatever your interests you Weimaraner bloggers, just enjoy, we are getting quite excited here.

I have also managed to practice my soft mouth techniques by waiting for mum (human)

to collect the eggs from the chickens, then when she puts the bucket down I have nipped in

and taken one to carry down to home. Now mum (human) was impressed when it was returned

without a blemish, it’s nice to feel appreciated.
