I have learned so much this year.

Retrieving a dummy.

Retrieving a Pigeon

Jumping a Stock Fence

Becoming a Competent Swimmer

Everyday I Retrieve a few Dummies from our little Lake

Here I am Retrieving a dead Pigeon from our little Lake

I have achieved so much by regular training.

The Boss says he is testing me now,

many of the exercises he would not

normally use on a dog of my age.

This makes me feel a bit ‘Special’

Geoff  has persuaded the Boss to treat me as a ‘Gundog’ and not a Weimar when it comes to training.

This has without doubt proved beneficial and I have soaked up all the training ideas

that Geoff & the Boss have put forward. They sometimes do not communicate well.

Like the memory retrieve in water where the Boss took me away 50 yards

when Geoff only meant for me to try it at 29 feet !

It turned out well and I did it anyway. They have worked together before so I trust them.

It is not all plain sailing though as I still put on my ‘Grey Coat’ from time to time.

Luckily the Boss knows how to deal with that.

Geoff is a quiet unassuming person and his training methods get results.

I’m lucky to have the help of Geoff because I am constantly stimulated with new ideas.

So a big thank you to my   ‘Uncle Geoff’ !

When it comes to training the Boss also has a secret weapon. We the family have a friend called Geoff Thompson.

Geoff has trained GSP’s for more years than the Boss can remember. So that’s a long time because the Boss is Ancient.

Geoff has been in constant demand on local shoots and his dogs receive ‘Commendations’ where ever he goes.
