Weimaraners

2011

November 1997 - September 2010

I find it best to take some time before writing about one of the companions we have lost, otherwise the pain and grief seem to dominate.

‘Connie’ is aware of the pain we are still dealing with but she was a happy and energetic bitch and we remember that.

She was our ‘front of house’ bitch.

If you came to visit Connie would bring you one of her many, many toys.

If you closed the door on her toy room she would bring you cushions, plural.

If you took away the cushions she would bring you bedding from ALL the dog beds.

You would be made welcome and you would enjoy your stay with us !

‘Connie’ was one of those ‘Special’ Weimaraners,

yes they are all special but some are just a bit more special in their ways.

All the other dogs respected Connie, she was bright, intelligent and fun to be with.

She was the Grandmother of our youngest ‘Esme’.

Connie and her brother ‘Davey’ Sh.Ch.Ryanstock Genteel JW’ and her daughter ‘Angie’ enjoyed just chilling out together on their kitchen chairs.

Small in stature being just middle of the bitch standard, she was big in heart.

She gained her JW two months after her big brother and likewise gained her title two months after her big brother in 2000.

She only had one litter and that produced our

Connie & the Chick

When the vet diagnosed her condition he said she had probably days to live, Connie had other plans, she wanted to play with her toys and enjoy her extended family here at Ryanstock.

Brave little girl that she was she enjoyed three more months.

We decided that every day would be a Connie day and every day we did something different or special with her.

She was a great inspiration of the true character and determination that is a Weimaraner.

She is being greatly missed by us but also by her canine family, who, it has to be said have not yet recovered from her loss.
